How many points will each club finish with at their current rate?

We look at how the rest of the season may play out, based on a projected points table

Football writer Ben Bloom forecasts the final number of points for each club in the 2025/26 Premier League season.

Based on the opening 11 Matchweeks of the season, the 2025/26 campaign could see some historic marks hit.

The possibilities include Arsenal equalling their record points tally, Sunderland finishing higher than any other promoted side, and a new record being set for the lowest number of points.

Using each club’s current points per match, it is possible to create a projected points table showing how the Premier League standings would look if each team continued at their current rate.

Arsenal’s tally of 26 points would extrapolate to a 90-point title-winning haul, matching their best-ever total from the famous 2003/04 season, when Arsene Wenger’s "Invincibles" team remained unbeaten and ran away with the Premier League crown.

The projection would also put the Gunners 14 points clear of second-placed Manchester City. Arsenal are four points ahead as things stand.

Projected final table - Premier League 2025/26

Currently just three places beneath the leaders, Sunderland are projected to earn 66 points and finish fourth.

That would be one place higher than Ipswich Town achieved in 2000/01, when they also had a final total of 66 - the record for a promoted club in a 38-match Premier League season.

Who would go down, based on their projected points?

Beneath a hugely congested mid-table, Burnley are predicted to stay up with just 35 points.

Only five clubs have ever avoided Premier League relegation with such a low points total.

Continuing at their present rate at the foot of the table, currently winless Wolverhampton Wanderers would end the season cut adrift with just seven points – four lower than Derby County’s all-time low of 11 from 2007/08.
