Burnley goalkeeper earns October accolade for stunning save against Wolves

Martin Dubravka’s outstanding stop for Burnley against Wolverhampton Wanderers has been voted the Coca-Cola Save of the Month for October 2025.

With Burnley leading 3-2 and the match entering the fifth minute of stoppage time, Dubravka got down low to deny Santiago Bueno with a stunning one-handed reaction save, securing a big win for his team.

"I'm really pleased to win this award! It's always nice to get a personal accolade, but full credit goes to the team, it's a whole team effort," Dubravka said on Burnley's website after winning the award.

"We work really hard week in week out and it's nice for me and the team to get this recognition, so thank you to everyone who voted for me to win this award."

The Slovakian goalkeeper, who joined Burnley in the summer from Newcastle United, wins the Save of the Month award for the second time having previously won it in January 2025, also for a save against Wolves.

He is also the first Burnley 'keeper to earn the award since its inception in 2022/23, and the first Clarets player to win a Premier League monthly honour since Matej Vydra's February 2020 Goal of the Month success.

Dubravka wins October's award after votes from the public were combined with those of a panel of experts, topping a shortlist of six goalkeepers who made superb saves across the month.
