The Scout's FPL Gameweek 10 transfer radar

See the four players being backed to score big in this weekend's matches

The Scout is tipping four players for big success in Gameweek 10 of 2025/26 Fantasy Premier League ahead of Saturday's 13:30 GMT deadline, to help managers gain an edge over their mini-league rivals.

Three of the four picks are midfielders, given three of the four most-sold players this week, Tijjani Reijnders (£5.6m), Mohamed Salah (£14.3m) and Mohammed Kudus (£6.8m), are from that position.

Bruno Guimaraes (Newcastle) £6.5m

Guimaraes is Newcastle's top-scoring midfielder in 2025/26 Fantasy, with 42 points. That's the same total as the more heavily owned Mohamed Salah (£14.3m) and Cody Gakpo (£7.6m).

The Brazilian international's recent output has really caught the eye, with two double-digit hauls over the last three Gameweeks.

He's racked up 10 shots in that time, more than any other midfielder. Two of those efforts have resulted in goals.

It does appear that Guimaraes is being afforded more license to get forward, with Nick Woltemade's (£7.5m) excellent link-up play allowing Newcastle's midfielders to run beyond the big-money summer signing.

With 13 of the Magpies' next 14 matches scoring three or lower in the Fixture Difficulty Ratings (FDR), with one being the easiest possible match and five being the hardest, there should be plenty of opportunities for Guimaraes to add to his recent hauls.

Ismaila Sarr (Crystal Palace) £6.5m

All of Crystal Palace's next six matches score three or less in the FDR.

GW Opp. FDR
10 Brentford (H) 3
11 Brighton (H) 3
12 Wolves (A) 2
13 Man Utd (H) 3
14 Burnley (A) 2
15 Fulham (A) 3

*1=easiest possible fixture, 5=hardest possible fixture

With that in mind, Fantasy managers should be looking for a player or two from the Eagles' attack - especially as Oliver Glasner's side are already top of the division for Expected Goals (xG) in 2025/26.

Sarr's underlying numbers don't look too inspiring at first glance, as he's yet to hit double figures for either shots or chances created.

But it's the quality of opportunities, not the quantity, that make Sarr such an enticing option.

Thanks to five of his nine shots being classed as "big chances", which is where the player is expected to score, the Senegalese winger sits first among all Fantasy midfielders for non-penalty xG.

Yankuba Minteh (Brighton) £6.0m

On the subject of favourable schedules, Brighton also embark on a six-match run in which none of their fixtures score higher than three in the FDR.

12 Brentford (H) 3
13 Nottingham Forest (A) 3

15 West Ham (H) 2

Featuring prominently on the Fantasy radar is Minteh, Brighton's top-scoring player in FPL this season, with 38 points.

The Gambian winger is also the Seagulls' leading man for non-penalty Expected Goal Involvement (NPxGI), with 3.22.

Tallies of 13 shots in the box and 14 chances created can't be bettered by any of his team-mates.

Minteh has also posed a big threat from either flank, racking up more penalty-box touches, 63, than any other Premier League midfielder this season.

Riccardo Calafiori (Arsenal) £5.8m

Gabriel Magalhaes (£6.5m) features in over 36 per cent of FPL squads, making him the most-owned defender in the game.

But so good is Arsenal's backline that Fantasy managers should consider doubling up on Mikel Arteta's defence.

Calafiori provides another route into the Premier League's most watertight team.

In addition, the Italian has had 17 goal shots this season, six more than any other defender has registered.

Six of Calafiori's shots have come from set-pieces, the same number that Gabriel has racked up. Given how strong the Gunners are from dead-ball situations, his attacking threat at set-pieces is even more significant.

At the other end of the pitch, Arsenal's tallies of six clean sheets and three goals conceded are the best in the Premier League.
