Content creator WillNE reveals his GW8 FPL Challenge team

Now you can see WillNE's line-up, do you think you can beat him?

Content creator WillNE has shared his team ahead of the GW8 FPL Challenge. This week players will score an additional six points if they score from a big chance.

A big chance is classified as a situation where the player is expected to score.

In the United Kingdom and Ireland, managers will be able to go head-to-head with WillNE by scanning the QR code on any bottle or can of Coca-Cola and Coca-Cola Zero Sugar and be in with a chance to win prizes, including Premier League match tickets.

Managers outside the UK will still be able to take part in the weekly challenges as usual, but will not be eligible to enter the head-to-head element and win prizes.

Here, The Scout explains why WillNE's picks could score well this weekend.

Goalkeeper: Guglielmo Vicario (Spurs)

Goalkeepers are very unlikely to score a big chance and therefore are unlikely to benefit from the additional points in this week's challenge.

Picking a goalkeeper for this week is more about their clean sheet and additional points potential. Vicario has kept three clean sheets so far this season, with only two goalkeepers managing to keep more.

The Italian ranks well for the additional goalkeeper points. He has made 24 saves, which has resulted in five save points, third-best in the league, and has registered five bonus points, which is only bettered by Robin Roefs in his position.

In total, Vicario has registered 35 points this season, trailing only Nick Pope and Roefs among goalkeepers.

Spurs host Aston Villa on Sunday, and enter this match having only conceded five goals this season. Only Arsenal have let in fewer.

Meanwhile, visitors Villa have only scored six goals, with only Nottingham Forest and Wolverhampton Wanderers scoring fewer, and only one of Villa's six goals has come on the road.

Defender: Gabriel (Arsenal)

Arsenal's Gabriel is the second top-scoring defender in the game. The centre-back has registered 47 points so far, trailing team-mate Jurrien Timber by one point.

The Brazilian has a goal, four clean sheets and six defensive contribution points to his name this season, as well as having registered five bonus points.

Among all defenders this season, Gabriel sits second for big chances, with two. Only Trevoh Chalobah and Marc Guehi have had more big chances than the Arsenal star.

Gabriel also has good potential for a clean sheet at Fulham this weekend as Arsenal are the team that have been expected to concede the fewest goals so far this season and have kept the second-most clean sheets with four, just one fewer than Newcastle.

Midfielder: Mohamed Salah (Liverpool)

The Liverpool star has had four big chances this season, with only Antoine Semenyo and Enzo Fernandez having more among midfielders. But the Egyptian has only managed to score from one of those big chances.

The Reds are at home to Manchester United in Gameweek 8. Ruben Amorim's men have conceded 19 big chances so far this season; only Burnley and Nottingham Forest have allowed more.

Salah, who is Liverpool's penalty-taker, with penalties defined as a "big chance", will be WillNE's captain.

Midfielder: Dango Ouattara (Brentford)

FPL Challenge gives managers the chance to react to the team news right up until each match kicks off. WillNE has picked Ouattara, who has had three big chances for Brentford this season.

Across the Brentford side, only forward Igor Thiago has had more.

Ouattara didn't start in Gameweek 7 against Manchester City and has only made three starts for the Bees across the opening seven matches. If the midfielder is named as a substitute on Monday evening against West Ham, WillNE can instead opt for Kevin Schade.

Forward: Erling Haaland (Man City)

Man City forward Haaland has had more big chances than any other player in the league this season. Of Haaland's 14 big chances, he has converted an impressive eight of them.

His eight big chances scored are double that of next-best player, Brentford's Thiago, who has scored four of his five big chances.

Opponents Everton rank eighth for big chances conceded this season, with 15, averaging just over two big chances allowed per match.

Forward: Jorgen Strand Larsen (Wolves)

WillNE's final pick is Wolves' Strand Larsen. The forward has had three big chances so far, but is yet to convert one of them.

The Norwegian may struggle for big chances at Sunderland, who have only conceded 11 such opportunities so far this season. This is the fifth-best record in the league and is fewer than the likes Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Fulham and Liverpool.

Strand Larsen is, however, Wolves' most attacking player so far this season and if they score, he is likely to be involved. The 25-year-old has had a team leading eight shots this season.
