The Scout is tipping four players for big success in Gameweek 8 of 2025/26 Fantasy Premier League ahead of Saturday's 11:00 BST deadline, to help managers gain an edge over their mini-league rivals.
Eberechi Eze (Arsenal) £7.6m
Of all the Arsenal players who have started at least one Premier League match this season, Eze boasts the best minutes-per-shot average.
The England international is averaging an attempt every 23 minutes in 2025/26.
For context, Viktor Gyokeres (£9.1m) and Bukayo Saka (£9.9m) both average an effort every 38 minutes.
In fact, league-wide, no midfielder can better Eze’s total of 17 shots.
Eze hasn't just been striking from distance, either. He's had eight attempts in the box across the last two Gameweeks alone.
It suggests a first Premier League goal for Arsenal isn't too far away for the former Crystal Palace star.
Meanwhile, an injury to Martin Odegaard (£7.9m) could boost Eze’s game time in the coming weeks.
It's in central midfield where Eze has featured in the last three Gameweeks, so the Norwegian's potential absence reduces the competition for places.
Jarrod Bowen (West Ham United) £7.7m
West Ham United are about to embark on a favourable run of matches, with three of their next four opponents placed 15th or lower in the Premier League.
West Ham's next four fixtures
GW | Opp. | FDR |
8 | Brentford (H) | 3 |
---|---|---|
9 | Leeds (A) | 2 |
10 | Newcastle (H) | 3 |
11 | Burnley (H) | 2 |
Longer term, only two of West Ham’s next 16 matches score higher than three in the Fixture Difficulty Ratings (FDR).
It makes Bowen a great long-term hold in Fantasy, especially as Nuno Espirito Santo’s new side don't have any cup distractions for the rest of 2025.
While other forwards may be at risk of rotation in the busy months to come, Bowen should - fitness permitting - start in every Premier League fixture. He is, in fact, the only player in his Fantasy position to play every single minute this season.
Bowen is joint-third among forwards for goals scored, with three, and only Erling Haaland (£14.5m) can better his nine bonus points.
Sean Longstaff (Leeds United) £4.9m
Longstaff's underlying numbers have been catching the eye recently.
In the last two Gameweeks, the midfielder has registered six shots and created 12 chances. That last figure is double the number of chances created by any other Premier League player.
Longstaff's assist potential has been boosted by his new status as Leeds' set-piece taker. He has delivered 11 corners across their last two matches.
On top of that, he has also secured defensive contribution points in two of his five starts this season. Only an early substitution in Gameweek 5 stopped him from probably making it three.
Fixtures-wise, Longstaff next faces two of the sides below Leeds in the league table.
Costing less than £5.0m, he could be a great pick for managers looking for budget-friendly options and playing their Bench Boost chip in the next month.
Nordi Mukiele (Sunderland) £4.0m
On the subject of low-cost Bench-Boost picks, Mukiele stands out as a strong selection for Gameweek 8.
The French centre-back has registered defensive contribution points in four of his five starts for Sunderland this season - and he was only one Gameweek 6 contribution away from boasting a 100 per cent record.
Having also helped the Black Cats to two clean sheets in those five outings, he's averaging an impressive 5.4 points per match.
Among £4.5m-and-under defenders, only team-mate Omar Alderete (£4.1m) - who is currently flagged as an injury doubt for Gameweek 8 - can better that.
With the Premier League's joint-lowest scorers, Wolverhampton Wanderers, visiting this weekend, Mukiele could further boost that average.
