Manchester City goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has won September 2025's Coca-Cola Save of the Month award for his crucial stop in their 3-0 derby win against Manchester United.
Donnarumma marked his Man City debut with a clean sheet and produced a stunning one-handed save to push Bryan Mbeumo's well-struck volley past the post.
Several City team-mates quickly went over to congratulate Donnarumma on his incredible stop, with manager Pep Guardiola saying: "He played really good. You know in the corners, it's dangerous and especially in the save and everyone remember him.
"I like the save and after the reaction from Josko [Gvardiol], from Ruben [Dias], from Rodri, going [to him]."
The Italian shot-stopper collects the award for the first time and becomes the second Man City 'keeper to earn the accolade, after team-mate James Trafford claimed August's Coca-Cola Save of the Month award.
Donnarumma wins September's award after votes from the public were combined with those of a panel of experts, topping a shortlist of six goalkeepers who made superb saves across the month.
It is also the second prize Man City have won in September, with Erling Haaland claiming the EA SPORTS Player of the Month award.
