Did you beat the icon? See Mary Earps' points in FPL Challenge

Find out how well the goalkeeper's team performed in Gameweek 7 when points were doubled for clean sheets

The Scout takes a look at how many points Mary Earps' team scored in the fourth week of the FPL Challenge and Coca-Cola “Beat The Icon” event. Managers were invited to beat the Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper, and ex-England international, who ended up on 48 points as clean-sheet points were doubled.

Handing the captaincy to goalkeeper David Raya worked well for Mary this week.

Raya and Arsenal kept a clean sheet and recorded 10 points. This was made up of two points for 90 minutes played, four points for the clean sheet plus the additional four points for the clean-sheet bonus - and the total was doubled again to 20 points with the captain's armband.

However, Mary would have been better off owning Gabriel or Jurrien Timber as her Arsenal defensive asset. Timber registered 15 points, which would have been doubled to 30 with the captaincy, while Gabriel registered 13, which would have been 26 if he had worn the armband.

Across Gameweek 7, only four teams registered a clean sheet. These were Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United and Newcastle United. Sadly, there were no clean sheets for the rest of Mary's defensive picks as none of her defenders benefited from the double-points bonus.

Mary did, however, select Pedro Porro, who produced an assist on his way to seven points for his owners.

Gameweek 7 was also the first week where Marcos Senesi failed to return defensive contribution points this season. The AFC Bournemouth defender had registered seven defensive contributions when he was substituted on Friday evening as Bournemouth pushed to salvage the game from 1-0 down. Senesi was on track to register the additional two points had he stayed on the field for the full 90 minutes.

Mary's midfield pick, Everton's Jack Grealish, left it late to deliver against Crystal Palace, with his goal in the third minute of second-half stoppage time putting an end to Crystal Palace's 19-match unbeaten run.

Grealish also picked up the maximum three bonus points, but he missed out on the clean sheet and therefore didn't benefit from the double-points bonus. This was Grealish's fifth attacking return of the season. Only Mohammed Kudus and Antoine Semenyo have more among midfielders.

Mary's final pick was FPL's top-scoring player Erling Haaland, who scored the winning goal and picked up two bonus points in Man City's 1-0 victory over Brentford. Forwards were not eligible for double clean-sheet points in the Gameweek 7 challenge.
