Matchweek 6 of the 2025/26 Premier League season featured some outstanding individual performances. We picked out eight of the best and invited you to vote for your Premier League Player of the Matchweek.

You had until 12:00 BST on Wednesday 1 October to cast your vote.

Emi Buendia (Aston Villa 3-1 Fulham)

Buendia made a transformative impact off the bench to inspire Aston Villa's first league win of the season.

Introduced at half-time with the match finely poised at 1-1, the Argentinian needed just six minutes to register two goal involvements. After assisting John McGinn, Buendia scored his first Premier League goal since March 2023.

Erling Haaland (Manchester City 5-1 Burnley)

Haaland delivered a ruthless performance at the Etihad, playing a key role in three goals as Manchester City pulled away late on.

With the match level at 1-1, he set up Matheus Nunes with a clever knock-down to help restore City's lead, before scoring twice in the final minutes.

Daichi Kamada (Crystal Palace 2-1 Liverpool)

Back in central midfield, Kamada was everywhere on the pitch as Crystal Palace ended Liverpool's perfect start to the season and extended their own unbeaten run to 18 matches across all competitions.

It was Kamada's corner, causing danger with a good delivery, that resulted in Ismaila Sarr's opening goal for the Eagles.

The Japan international also completed more passes than any outfield team-mate and made more tackles than any other non-defender in a tireless, all-action display.

Sean Longstaff (Leeds United 2-2 AFC Bournemouth)

Longstaff starred in Leeds United's 2-2 draw at Elland Road, scoring one goal and assisting the other.

He set up Joe Rodon's header with a precisely delivered corner before netting a stunning half-volley in off the post.

The midfielder made six tackles, won 10 duels and created two big chances, illustrating his influence across all areas of the pitch.

Declan Rice (Newcastle United 1-2 Arsenal)

Rice delivered a masterclass in midfield as Arsenal came from behind to claim a crucial win at St James’ Park.

The England international led all players for touches, passes, and carries, while ranking joint-first for chances created, possession wins, and tackles.

Rice's pinpoint cross set up Mikel Merino's 84th-minute equaliser, and his late defensive interventions showcased his athleticism and leadership in a complete performance.

Robin Roefs (Nottingham Forest 0-1 Sunderland)

Roefs was the standout figure in Sunderland’s victory at Nottingham Forest, producing a string of vital saves.

The in-form Dutch goalkeeper made six saves to preserve a clean sheet, as the Black Cats claimed their first away win of the season.

Igor Thiago (Brentford 3-1 Manchester United)

Thiago led the line superbly for Brentford, scoring twice in an impressive 3-1 win over Manchester United.

The Brazilian opened the scoring with a brilliant strike before adding a close-range second goal shortly after. His physicality and movement troubled the visitors' defensive trio throughout the match.

Danny Welbeck (Chelsea 1-3 Brighton & Hove Albion)

The striker made a decisive impact off the bench, inspiring Brighton & Hove Albion's dramatic comeback victory at Stamford Bridge.

In a match-winning cameo performance, Welbeck headed in the late equaliser from Yankuba Minteh’s cross before calmly finishing in stoppage-time to seal all three points.
