Who are the best Arsenal picks in Fantasy?

The Scout crunches the numbers and selects the standout options for the Gunners' favourable fixtures

The Scout identifies the best Arsenal picks in Fantasy Premier League for their favourable upcoming schedule.

After their 2-1 win at Newcastle United last weekend, the Gunners' stars are drawing the attention of managers in Fantasy ahead of Friday's 18:30 BST deadline.

As many as six Arsenal players have received 83,000+ transfers in, with centre-back Gabriel (£6.2m) and forward Viktor Gyokeres (£9.0m) the most popular targets, earning 219,000+ and 412,000+ new owners respectively.

Goalkeeper David Raya (£5.6m) and right-back Jurrien Timber (£5.8m), along with midfielders Bukayo Saka (£9.8m) and Eberechi Eze (£7.5m), are the other sought-after assets, underlining the options offered by Mikel Arteta's side across every position in Fantasy.

So who are the best Arsenal picks? Let's delve into the data.

What does Arsenal's upcoming schedule look like?

A look at Arsenal's next five matches shows just why they are growing in popularity.

According to the Fixture Difficulty Ratings (FDR), where the difficulty of each fixture is ranked from one to five - with one being the easiest possible match and five being the hardest - THREE of their next five matches score just two.

That includes their home match against West Ham United this weekend, as well as their back-to-back visits to promoted pair Burnley and Sunderland over Gameweeks 10-11.

Arsenal's next five matches
GW Opp FDR*
7 West Ham (H) 2
8 Fulham (A) 3
9 Crystal Palace (H) 3
10 Burnley (A) 2
11 Sunderland (A) 2

*1 = easiest possible fixture, 5 = hardest possible fixture

Who are Arsenal's top-scoring players in Fantasy this season?

A trio of defenders lead the way thanks to their impact at both ends of the pitch. Just two points separate Gabriel, Timber and Riccardo Calafiori (£5.7m), with the Brazilian having the slightest of edges on 38 points.

Notably, both Timber and Calafiori already have three goal involvements to their name, whereas Gabriel's winner at St James' Park on Sunday was his first of the season.

Where Gabriel has the advantage here is defensive contributions - he's picked up four points, compared with the zero of Timber and Calafiori.

Those multiple routes to returns certainly make the defenders more appealing than Raya. The Spaniard has helped his side to three clean sheets, but has earned save points in just one of his six outings.

Further up the field, the Gunners have been impacted by injuries to Martin Odegaard (£7.9m) and Saka, while Eze arrived late in the summer from Crystal Palace.

As a result, it's midfield duo Declan Rice (£6.5m) and Martin Zubimendi (£5.5m) who boast the most points after Arsenal's defensive trio, with the pair level on 29 points.

Rice, notably, has shown great reliability due to his many routes to returns. Indeed, he has produced an assist, defensive contribution points or bonus points in FIVE of his six outings.

Gyokeres, meanwhile, has scored three of his side's 12 goals and appears to be their first-choice penalty-taker.

Arsenal's top-scoring players
Player G+A Clean sheets Bonus Points
Gabriel 1 3 4 38
Timber 3 2 5 37
Calafiori 3 3 3 36
Rice 3 2 3 29
Zubimendi 2 3 3 29
Raya 0 3 3 28
Gyokeres 3 N/A 2 24

Who has the most attacking potential?

As the lone striker for Arteta's side, Gyokeres has been their main goal threat.

His 13 shots in the box are a team-leading total, as are his four big chances, which are situations where the player is expected to score.

Timber, meanwhile, leads the rest of the Arsenal defenders when it comes to big-chance involvement.

Indeed, the right-back is identical to Eze here - they have each had one big chance and created a further two of them.

Calafiori's numbers are also among the most impressive on show. The Italian's 12 shots ranked top among all defenders in Fantasy, while his eight shots in the box rank joint-top.

He has already matched his total of three attacking returns from 2024/25, scoring once and supplying two assists.

Who are Arsenal's key players at set-pieces?

Arsenal's huge threat from free-kicks and corners has to be factored in when considering the best way to invest.

The Gunners have scored a league-high seven goals from set-pieces, which is DOUBLE any other side apart from Chelsea and Crystal Palace, who have five and four respectively.

Rice's delivery has been a major weapon over the first six Gameweeks. He's taken just over half of their corners (24 of 47), as well as taking five free-kicks.

Arsenal's set-piece takers compared
Player Corners Free-kicks Corners + free-kicks
Rice 24 5 29
Madueke 10 0 10
Saka 8 0 8
Eze 3 2 5
Odegaard 2 0 2
Nwaneri 0 1 0

Saka's lowly total of eight is mainly down to his period on the sidelines with injury, with Noni Madueke (£7.0m) taking 10 corners from the right flank in his absence before his own recent injury.

Eze, meanwhile, is clearly down the pecking order since his summer move, with only three corners and two free-kicks.

As the table below shows, five different Arsenal players have already scored from set-pieces this season.

Timber's total of five shots at free-kicks and corners is more than any other team-mate.

Meanwhile, it's Calafiori and Gabriel who have boasted the main aerial threat in these situations, with three headed shots each.

By contrast, William Saliba (£6.0m) has offered the least threat of the back four, with only one headed attempt from a set-piece over his five appearances.

Timber 2 2 5
Calafiori 1 3 4

Who has played the most minutes this season?

Only two players - Raya and Gabriel - have featured in every minute of the season so far under Arteta.

The Brazilian's security of pitch-time could prove a decisive factor when weighing up your options in defence.

Calafiori, by contrast, has been subbed off in four of his six starts and has played 90 minutes fewer than the Brazilian, while Timber has managed the full 90 minutes on only three occasions.

When it comes to earning points from defensive contributions, both full-backs are clearly being limited due to Arteta's substitutions.

Eze, meanwhile, has featured off the bench in two of his five outings and has been replaced twice, with just a single 90-minute outing so far.

So, who are the best Arsenal picks?

Arsenal clearly have big potential for points at both ends of the pitch and a double-up or even triple-up could easily pay off over that upcoming schedule.

At the back, Gabriel's aerial threat at set-pieces, combined with his defensive contribution points and secure minutes, make him the standout asset.

Calafiori's many routes to returns and goal threat make him the best option alongside the Brazilian if you're looking to double up in defence, although his minutes are still a slight risk.

Elsewhere, Gyokeres is the attacker least likely to suffer from rotation and the numbers point to more success for the summer signing.

If Saka was fully fit, then his history as a proven big-hitter would make his inclusion as one of the very best options an easy decision.

Although the England star's potential for big hauls does make him worth the risk, both Eze and Rice should not be overlooked in the mid-price midfielder bracket.

Eze has played as a No 10 in the last two matches in all competitions, while Rice's set-pieces and defensive contributions can keep his tally ticking over.
