Who are the best teams and players to target in FPL?

See which teams have the best runs of fixtures and which players to target

The Scout analyses the upcoming schedules to help managers identify the best players to target in Fantasy Premier League.

The table below shows all 10 clubs who have at least two matches which score two in the Fixture Difficulty Ratings (FDR) over the next six Gameweeks.

The numbers for the next four Gameweeks also help to identify those clubs with kinder short-term runs of opponents.

Leeds United and Tottenham Hotspur are the two clubs who tick both of those boxes. Their matches average just 2.5 in FDR across the next four Gameweeks and 2.7 in the next six.

Leeds have three home matches in that spell - against AFC Bournemouth, Spurs and West Ham United - as well as a visit to fellow promoted side Burnley.

Notably, Daniel Farke's men have kept a clean sheet in both of their matches at Elland Road so far, suggesting investment in their defenders looks the wisest move here.

Left-back Gabriel Gudmundsson and centre-back Joe Rodon are both available for the ultra-low cost of just £4.0m.

Spurs, meanwhile, host Wolverhampton Wanderers and Aston Villa, as well as visiting Leeds and Everton

Thomas Frank's side offer in-form options across every position in Fantasy, with as many as five of their players scoring between 25-30 points - goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario (£5.1m), centre-backs Cristian Romero (£5.1m) and Micky van de Ven (£4.7m), winger Mohammed Kudus (£6.6m) and forward Richarlison (£6.7m).

The table at the top of this article also shows why Arsenal's mid-term schedule makes them big targets in Fantasy.

Over the next four Gameweeks, only one of the Gunners' matches score two in the FDR. But as many as three of their next six matches score two in the FDR, more than any other side.

Those very favourable fixtures are at home to West Ham in Gameweek 7, while Arsenal then have back-to-back visits to promoted sides Burnley and Sunderland over Gameweeks 10-11.

Similarly to Spurs, they have options throughout the entire squad, with David Raya (£5.5m), Gabriel (£6.1m), Eberechi Eze (£7.5m), Bukayo Saka (£9.8m) and Viktor Gyokeres (£9.0m) the leading candidates.

Which attackers have the greatest goal threat?

By refining the search to those 10 clubs with the kindest fixtures, you get a clearer idea of who to target.

Erling Haaland's (£14.3m) huge advantage over any other player in Fantasy right now is highlighted by the underlying statistics.

His 21 shots overall and 20 shots in the box are both league-leading totals, as are his 10 big chances, which are situations where the player is expected to score.

Spurs forward Richarlison ranks second for shots in the box with 13, although just two of those have been big chances.

Arsenal's Gyokeres is Haaland's closest rival here for big chances, albeit some way back on four.

The Swede has had seven shots in the box, the same as Joao Pedro (£7.8m), and only one more than midfield trio Morgan Gibbs-White (£7.5m), Tijjani Reijnders (£5.6m) and Jack Grealish (£6.8m).

Which attackers are most likely to score or assist?

Haaland has also created two big chances for his team-mates which, added to the 10 such opportunities of his own, means he has been involved in 12 of them - more than TWICE any other player in the assessment.

Joao Pedro heads the chasing pack with five big-chance involvements thanks to his all-round potential - he's had two of his own and created a further three.

Popular pair Gyokeres and Grealish are tied on four big-chance involvements each. The latter has also created 13 chances, the second-best tally in the league this season.

Beneath them, six other midfielders or forwards for those 10 clubs have been involved in three big chances.

Nottingham Forest's Chris Wood (£7.6m) is the only forward in a group that includes a trio of Man City midfielders - Reijnders, Jeremy Doku (£6.4m) and Bernardo Silva (both £6.4m).

Which defenders have the most attacking potential?

Arsenal's Riccardo Calafiori (£5.7m) has been one of the top defenders for attacking potential early on this season.

The left-back's 10 shots and seven shots in the box both rank top among defenders in 2025/26. Combined with three chances created, this means he's been involved in 13 shots - joint-top in the table below.

While his team-mate Jurrien Timber (£5.8m) also features in the table on 10 shot involvements, rotation remains an issue at full-back for Arsenal, so Raya or one of the centre-backs are still more secure picks in the long run.

Spurs' Pedro Porro (£5.6m) matches Calafiori here, with four shots and nine chances created suggesting he's been unlucky not to earn any attacking returns so far.

Trevoh Chalobah's (£5.1m) attacking potential is also in evidence here, with his six shots in the box ranked second. The Chelsea centre-back sits at the top of the defender standings with two goals and an assist to his name already.

Wolves, somewhat surprisingly, have THREE defenders who have been involved in at least eight shots this season. Rodrigo Gomes' (£4.4m) six shots in the box rank joint-second for defenders in Fantasy, as do Hugo Bueno's (£4.4m) eight chances created.

Everton's James Tarkowski (£5.5m) fails to make the cut here, with just one shot so far this season.

However, along with Bournemouth's Marcos Senesi (£4.7m), he is one of only two players this season to earn defensive contribution points in each of the first five Gameweeks.

The Toffees have four home matches and a visit to Sunderland in the next six Gameweeks, lifting the appeal of a Tarkowski/Grealish double-up.
