Fulham made it back-to-back Premier League wins after beating Brentford 3-1 in the west London derby on Saturday.
Marco Silva’s side impressed as they came from behind at Craven Cottage to condemn the Bees to their third straight league defeat on the road.
Brentford struck first through the returning Mikkel Damsgaard, but quickfire goals from Alex Iwobi and Harry Wilson turned the contest on its head in the first half.
An Ethan Pinnock own goal soon after the break was enough to put the game beyond the visitors, who remain pointless away from home this season.
Fulham climb to seventh place on eight points, four more than Brentford, who are in 17th.
How the match unfolded
Brentford opened the scoring in the 20th minute, albeit with a huge helping hand from the hosts. Josh King's loose pass from just outside the area was intercepted by Damsgaard, who subsequently slotted past a flat-footed Bernd Leno.
Ryan Sessegnon stung Caoimhin Kelleher's palms before Fulham equalised in the 38th minute, with Iwobi sweeping home on the half-volley after Brentford failed to deal with Sasa Lukic's initial deflected strike.
Iwobi then turned provider as Silva's side completed a remarkable turnaround just 98 seconds later, with Wilson applying a superb first-time finish to his precise pass.
It was 3-1 after five minutes of second-half action, as Sessegnon’s fierce cross ricocheted into the net in bizarre fashion off the head of the unsuspecting Pinnock.
Rodrigo Muniz thought he had added a fourth just before the hour mark when he flashed a powerful shot past Kelleher at his near post. However, his strike was ruled out following a VAR review, as he was deemed to have caught Nathan Collins in the face during the build-up.
Nevertheless, Fulham comfortably held off Brentford to claim their second win of the season.
Cottagers show their mettle
Fulham were one of only two sides yet to concede a goal from open play this season, but that record was ended abruptly when Damsgaard intercepted King’s stray pass and beat Leno.
The signs were not overly promising at that point for Fulham, who had come up empty-handed in their search for a win after conceding first in recent matches, but they had no such worries on Saturday.
The Cottagers were indebted to Iwobi, who played a starring role in their impressive turnaround, with Brentford unable to come up with any answers as he flipped the game on its head.
He stayed alive in the box for the first goal, having initially been overlooked for a through-ball, and took centre stage with a fine instinctive finish despite being slightly off-balance.
An immaculate assist for Wilson, which was inch-perfect, was met by an equally impressive touch that sent it curling into the bottom corner, giving a sprawling Kelleher no chance.
For the second home game in a row, Fulham then benefited from an awkward own goal, and when Pinnock put through his own net, the job was effectively done for the hosts, who have now recorded three straight wins over Brentford.
Silva’s side will aim to build on their momentum back at Craven Cottage against Cambridge United in the EFL Cup on Tuesday before an away game against Aston Villa in the league.
Bees lack buzz on the road
Brentford’s struggles away from the Gtech Community Stadium continued, with the Bees now having lost all three Premier League away games this season.
Keith Andrews’ side started well enough. Damsgaard, back in the team after illness, demonstrated brilliant awareness to cut out King’s attempted reverse pass, before slotting home his first league goal since last December.
However, Brentford were then punished for their own lapse in concentration at the back, with Iwobi pouncing to equalise, while they were sliced open by his brilliant pass moments later.
Despite their best efforts, there was no way back after Pinnock’s own goal, with Igor Thiago and Dango Ouattara unable to make their presence known in the final third.
Jordan Henderson, on his 500th league appearance of his career, struggled to instil a sense of control in Brentford’s midfield, and Andrews will have plenty to ponder on, with no more away games before the international break.
Instead, they will welcome the prospect of a home double-header before the international break, even if the two Manchester clubs provide the opposition.

What the managers said
Marco Silva: "Two in a row is very good for us. Very difficult to achieve. The feeling is top. Well deserved. That’s the main thing. We were the best team from the first minute to the last one. Great first half, great football from us. We dominated all the first half."
Keith Andrews: "We started the game well and played in areas of pitch. We wanted to cause them issues and we did that. The front two were a handful when we gave them the service.
"The timing of goals wasn’t good and the manner of them was a bit disappointing."
