Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has revealed his line-up for Gameweek 4 of FPL Challenge.
It marks the start of Coca-Cola and FPL Challenge teaming up for a “Beat The Icon” event over the next seven Gameweeks, with a different challenge being set each week by football legends, pundits and top creators - and Fantasy managers being invited to try to beat them.
This weekend, Manchester City and Manchester United players will score DOUBLE Fantasy points in Sunday's derby duel at the Etihad Stadium.
You can enter a team any time during the weekend, right up until the Manchester derby kicks off at 16:30 BST on Sunday.
Ferdinand's 6-a-side team, chosen with an unlimited budget, features the maximum possible three players from his former club Man Utd, and only one from arch-rivals Man City.
Here, The Scout explains why Ferdinand's picks could score well this weekend.
Goalkeeper: David Raya (Arsenal)
The Spaniard has conceded just one goal in the first three Gameweeks ahead of Arsenal’s home match against Nottingham Forest. The Gunners are the only side yet to conceded a single big chance, which is a situation where a player is expected to score.
Defender: Leny Yoro (Man Utd)
Man Utd's centre-back has already made his presence felt at both ends of the pitch. Yoro claimed an assist at Fulham and also earned two points for his defensive contributions against Arsenal.
Midfielder: Bruno Fernandes (Man Utd)
The Portuguese is handed the captaincy – and will therefore score FOUR time his points total – thanks to his multiple routes to returns. Fernandes has created a league-high 12 chances, also scoring a penalty and earning four points from defensive contributions.
Midfielder: Bryan Mbeumo (Man Utd)
Man Utd’s Cameroonian offers strong all-round potential for Sunday’s encounter. Mbeumo’s seven shots in the box are more than any team-mate, while his nine chances created rank third among all players in Fantasy.
Midfielder: Jack Grealish (Everton)
The winger has quickly established himself as Everton’s talisman, with two assists and a double-digit haul in each of his two starts. A home match against his former club Aston Villa gives Grealish the perfect opportunity to maintain the early momentum.
Forward: Erling Haaland (Man City)
Six goals for Norway over the international break highlights the Man City striker’s huge threat. Haaland’s totals of 14 shots, 13 shots in the box and six big chances are all more than any other player this season.
Can you beat Ferdinand's team?
In the United Kingdom and Ireland, managers will be able to go head-to-head with Rio.
Every bottle and can of Coca-Cola and Coca-Cola Zero Sugar sold in the UK and Ireland has a QR code which provides entry to the head-to-head duels.
Managers who scan the code and enter the head-to-head battles will be in with the chance to win more than 20,000 prizes, including vintage Coca-Cola jerseys, Premier League match tickets and more. Those managers will need to be aged 18+, and they can only enter once per Gameweek, with a maximum of two wins per prize type.
Managers outside the UK will still be able to take part in the weekly challenges as usual, but will not be eligible to enter the head-to-head element and win prizes.
Remember, you’ll be able to enter a team across the weekend in each Gameweek, after the deadline has passed in the main Fantasy Premier League game.
