The Scout’s FPL Gameweek 4 transfer radar

See four players backed by The Scout to score big in this weekend's matches

The Scout is tipping four players for big success in Gameweek 4 of 2025/26 Fantasy Premier League ahead of Saturday's 11:00 BST deadline, to help managers gain an edge over their mini-league rivals.

Daniel Munoz (Crystal Palace) £5.5m

Munoz is yet to blank in FPL this season, delivering two clean sheets and an assist in his three run-outs to date.

The Colombian international can extend his streak this weekend when Sunderland visit Selhurst Park.

Despite netting five Premier League goals in 2025/26, the Black Cats are ranked a lowly 18th for non-penalty expected goals (NPxG) after three Gameweeks.

Crystal Palace, meanwhile, have impressively only conceded one goal in their five Premier League and UEFA Conference League fixtures.

There could be returns at the other end of the field, too.

Despite not scoring, Munoz was a real threat against the promoted clubs last season. In his three home meetings with the sides coming up from the Championship, he registered eight shots in the box - a tally that no other FPL defender could better.

Sunderland have also allowed eight chances to be created from Munoz's flank this campaign, twice as many as they've conceded from the opposite wing.

Cody Gakpo (Liverpool) £7.7m

The arrival of Alexander Isak (£10.4m) looks set to provide competition in the Liverpool attack this season.

But while the Swede builds up match fitness after a disrupted pre-season, the Reds' frontline should remain unchanged.

Gakpo has impressed in the opening three Gameweeks, outscoring every other Liverpool midfielder thanks to his opening-day goal against AFC Bournemouth and two assists in the win over Newcastle United.

Not only that, the Dutchman's totals of six shots and as many chances created are the best in Arne Slot's squad.

Gakpo has looked secure for minutes, too, lasting 90 minutes in all three Gameweeks. The summer departure of Luis Diaz has helped provide something of a game-time boost.

Next up for the Netherlands international and his team-mates is a trip to Burnley, who conceded more shots and xG than any other Premier League team in August.

Antoine Semenyo (Bournemouth) £7.4m

Bournemouth's flying winger is the second-most-bought player of Gameweek 4, having attracted over 575,000 transfers in.

Semenyo has two goals and an assist to his name already in 2025/26, while his underlying numbers suggest the Fantasy returns will continue to arrive.

His totals of 10 shots, nine efforts in the box and five big chances can't be beaten by any other FPL midfielder.

He's even created five opportunities for his team-mates, too.

While Gameweek 4 opponents Brighton & Hove Albion are on a high after a win over Manchester City, the Seagulls have looked vulnerable down their right flank this season.

In fact, Brighton have allowed a league-worst 15 chances to be created from that side of the pitch in 2025/26 - that's 14 more than the number of chances they have conceded from the opposite wing!

Semenyo has started the last two Gameweeks down Bournemouth's left flank, so he could exploit that weakness when facing Brighton this weekend.

Harvey Barnes (Newcastle United) £6.5m

Barnes and Anthony Elanga (£7.0m) were surprisingly benched in the Gameweek 3 draw with Leeds United as manager Eddie Howe changed formation to compensate for his shortage of forwards.

Howe abandoned the new 5-3-2 set-up midway through the second half at Elland Road and, at home to struggling Wolverhampton Wanderers this Saturday, we can surely expect Newcastle to revert to their more attacking 4-3-3 formation - especially now that they have recognised strikers at the club in the form of Yoane Wissa (£7.5m) and Nick Woltemade (£7.0m).

With Anthony Gordon (£7.4m) still suspended and question marks over the fitness of Jacob Ramsey (£5.4m), Barnes should be given the nod down the left flank.

Medium-term game-time concerns, especially with the imminent start of the UEFA Champions League, make Barnes appealing only as a one-week pick. Those playing a Wildcard in Gameweek 5 fall into this bracket.

But when he is on the pitch, the left-winger frequently delivers.

Barnes averaged 5.6 points per start in 2024/25, the best rate of any of Newcastle's wingers.

He's also netted in two of his last previous meetings with Wolves, scoring the winner at Molineux last season.
