The Scout highlights 10 players who are generally being overlooked in Fantasy Premier League, to help managers get ahead of their mini-league rivals. Each of these players is owned in under 10 per cent of squads.
Marcos Senesi (Bournemouth) £4.6m, owned by 6.6%
AFC Bournemouth’s centre-back sits just three points off the top of the defender standings on 25 points thanks to his multiple routes to returns.
Senesi has combined two clean sheets with an assist and four bonus points, while he is also one of only three players to collect two points for their defensive contributions in EACH of the first three Gameweeks.
The Cherries’ upcoming schedule give Senesi the chance to continue that form; they have four home matches and a visit to promoted Leeds United in the next six Gameweeks.
Jean-Philippe Mateta (Crystal Palace) £7.5m, owned by 10.7%
Back-to-back clashes with Sunderland and West Ham United give the Crystal Palace forward the chance to continue his fine start to the campaign.
Mateta has scored three goals in six matches across all competitions this season, including a strike in the Eagles’ 3-0 win at Aston Villa last time around.
His six shots and four shots on target are both at least TWICE the total of any team-mate in the first three Gameweeks of 2025/26.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall (Everton) £5.0m, owned by 4.6%
The Everton midfielder’s team-mate Jack Grealish (£6.7m) is the most-bought player in the Gameweek, with over 952,000 transfers in.
Yet Dewsbury-Hall outscored the winger by 12 points to 10 in the last Gameweek, producing a goal and an assist against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
As the set-piece taker for a David Moyes side, the summer signing from Chelsea looks outstanding value as a cheap midfielder in your line-up.
Josh King (Fulham) £4.5m, owned by 2.5%
The Fulham midfielder’s emergence as a regular starter this season makes him ideal for FPL managers who are looking to play a 3-4-3 formation, benching one of their five midfielders.
King is the only midfielder or forward who is priced lower than £5.0m and has started all three of the opening Gameweeks.
Playing as a No 10 for Fulham, King is even worth sticking in your starting XI this weekend, in Gameweek 4, when he has a home match against promoted Leeds.
Morgan Gibbs-White (Nottingham Forest) £7.5m, owned by 5.4%
The appointment of Ange Postecoglou as Nottingham Forest head coach comes ahead of a very favourable short-term schedule which lifts the appeal of their attackers.
After a visit to Arsenal this weekend, Forest then have back-to-back matches against promoted pair Burnley and Sunderland.
Playmaker Gibbs-White has one assist to his name this season and has also boasted a major goal threat for Postecoglou’s new side. Indeed, his six shots and four shots in the box are both more than any other Forest midfielder so far.
Evanilson (Bournemouth) £7.0m, owned by 2.3%
The displays of his team-mate Antoine Semenyo (£7.4m) means Bournemouth’s Brazilian is another player who has been ignored.
Nonetheless, Evanilson headed into the international break on the back of his first goal of the season, scoring with a decisive strike in a 1-0 win at Tottenham Hotspur.
His seven shots in the box and six chances created both put him among the Cherries’ top two players for those statistics, highlighting his strong all-round potential ahead of their kind upcoming run of opponents.
Guglielmo Vicario (Spurs) £5.0m, owned by 9.0%
If you’re on the lookout for a new goalkeeper, Vicario ticks both the "form" and "fixtures" boxes.
Vicario has conceded just one goal on his way to the top of the goalkeeper standings on 21 points.
The Italian has combined two clean sheets with six bonus points and three save points.
According to the Fixture Difficulty Ratings (FDR), where the difficulty of each fixture is ranked from one to five - with one being the easiest possible match and five being the hardest - THREE of Spurs’ next four matches score only two, with West Ham, Wolves and Leeds the opponents in question.
Trevoh Chalobah (Chelsea) £5.1m, owned by 7.4%
Chelsea’s centre-back has yet to blank this season, with two clean sheets, a goal and an assist helping him to 27 points.
Chalobah’s goal threat is also backed up by the statistics, with his five shots and four shots in the box both placing second among defenders.
A kind mid-term schedule looks promising for his potential at both ends of the pitch for many Gameweeks to come. According to the FDR, only ONE of Chelsea’s next nine matches scores more than three.
Jorgen Strand Larsen (Wolves) £6.4m, owned by 3.0%
The Wolves forward is currently a slight doubt to face Newcastle United this weekend due to an Achilles issue.
Providing he is fit, Strand Larsen’s schedule from Gameweek 5 onwards could make him a big favourite in the budget forward bracket.
Wolves face all three promoted clubs in the space of five Gameweeks, hosting both Leeds and Burnley as well as visiting Sunderland.
Maxence Lacroix (Crystal Palace) £5.0m, owned by 2.4%
The centre-back has been a pivotal figure in a Crystal Palace side who have kept clean sheets against Chelsea and Aston Villa in the first three Gameweeks.
Lacroix’s defensive contributions have also been rewarded, earning him an extra two points on two occasions. Add in an assist and two bonus points and he sits in sixth place among defenders on 22 points.
Those multiple routes to returns make the Frenchman a great alternative to his more-popular fellow Eagles defenders Marc Guehi (£4.6m) and Daniel Munoz (£5.5m), who are owned by 16 and 11 per cent respectively.
