Ahead of the Gameweek 1 deadline at 18:30 BST on Friday 15 August, The Scout highlights 10 players who can offer great value in 2025/26 Fantasy Premier League.
Goalkeepers
Martin Dubravka (Burnley) £4.0m
A move to Burnley from Newcastle United means the Slovak will be the cheapest starting goalkeeper in 2025/26.
His ultra-low cost of just £4.0m allows you to sit Dubravka on your bench and call upon him in emergencies.
Defenders
Maxim De Cuyper (Brighton) £4.5m
Brighton & Hove Albion’s new left-back has the attacking potential to be a fixture-proof asset in Fantasy.
De Cuyper arrives from Club Brugge on the back of six goals and 16 assists in the last two Belgian Pro League seasons.
El Hadji Malick Diouf (West Ham) £4.5m
West Ham United’s summer signing boasts major attacking potential from his role as a left wing-back.
Diouf scored seven goals and supplied three assists for Slavia Prague in the Czech top division last season.
Joe Rodon (Leeds) £4.0m
The introduction of defensive contribution points this season boosts the appeal of centre-backs playing for promoted clubs, such as Leeds United's Rodon.
For example, Southampton’s Jan Bednarek would have earned 40 points from this extra avenue of points alone last season, the equivalent of 10 clean sheets.
Midfielders
Amad (Man Utd) £6.5m
A cost of just £6.5m looks great value as a route into the Manchester United attack, with eight goals and eight assists underlining Amad's all-round potential.
The Ivorian bettered his fellow wing-back Patrick Dorgu (£4.5m) by 19 successful crosses to THREE last season - with the added aerial threat of new forward Benjamin Sesko (£7.5m) on board, Amad can get even more assists this season.
Tijjani Reijnders (Man City) £5.5m
His two goals against Palermo in Manchester City’s final pre-season match suggest the Dutchman can offer outstanding value in his debut Fantasy campaign.
Reijnders – who is expected to play as a No 8 for Pep Guardiola’s side – has emerged as most-selected midfielder in the sub-£6.0m bracket, owned by 13.1 per cent.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall (Everton) £5.0m
The Englishman's summer switch from Chelsea to Everton can offer managers a standout value option in midfield.
Dewsbury-Hall is expected to play as a No 10 and also be handed the majority of set-pieces duties for David Moyes’ side, lifting his potential for assists.
Forwards
Jorgen Strand Larsen (Wolves) £6.5m
The Norwegian will now be Wolverhampton Wanderers’ No 1 penalty-taker following Matheus Cunha’s (£8.0m) move to Man Utd.
Strand Larsen delivered 14 goals and four assists in his debut season and, with added spot-kick duties, he could be the pick of the sub-£7.0m forwards.
Thiago (Brentford) £6.0m
The Brazilian's return to fitness is a timely one for Brentford after the summer departure of their talisman Bryan Mbuemo (£8.0m) to Man Utd.
With reports also linking Yoane Wissa (£7.5m) with a move away, there is also the possibility that Thiago could be the Bees' penalty-taker this season.
Marc Guiu (Sunderland) £4.5m
Owning Guiu simply allows you to move to a 3-5-2 formation for the start of 2025/26 and spend more of your budget on midfielders.
It’s a similar situation to Dubravka - Sunderland’s loan signing from Chelsea is there to essentially sit on your bench and at least offers the security of starts if he is called upon.
