A Bruno Fernandes double inspired Manchester United to a 2-1 victory over West Ham United in the Premier League Summer Series.
The Man Utd captain opened the scoring in the fifth minute, scoring a penalty after West Ham goalkeeper Alphonse Areola had fouled Ayden Heaven.
Fernandes then whipped a sublime shot past Areola to score his second goal on 52 minutes.
Jarrod Bowen pulled a goal back 11 minutes later for West Ham, who handed a second appearance to summer signing El Hadji Malick Diouf.
Matheus Cunha started for Man Utd following his summer move from Wolverhampton Wanderers, but fellow new arrival Bryan Mbeumo didn’t feature as he builds up his fitness.
