Bournemouth beat Everton in Summer Series opener

Three second-half goals for Cherries secure win over Toffees in New Jersey

AFC Bournemouth got off to a winning start in the Premier League Summer Series, beating Everton 3-0 thanks to three second-half goals.

Philip Billing gave the Cherries the lead after 55 minutes in New Jersey, with Dango Ouattara doubling their advantage four minutes later.

Daniel Adu-Adjei added a third in the 69th minute for Bournemouth, who handed starts to summer signings Djordje Petrovic and Adrien Truffert.

Everton handed a debut to summer arrival Thierno Barry, who came on as a second-half substitute.
