Here, The Scout provides analysis on the prices revealed so far.

Alexander Isak (FWD) £10.5m

Newcastle United’s Swede climbs £2.0m in cost from last season after finishing as the top-scoring forward in Fantasy on 211 points.

Isak will again be a key figure after producing 23 goals and six assists in 2024/25 Fantasy, with his role as the Magpies’ No 1 penalty-taker making him a reliable armband option.

The 25-year-old has been linked with a move to Liverpool, although the Reds are now reportedly close to finalising a deal for Eintracht Frankfurt forward Hugo Ekitike, while Newcastle head coach Eddie Howe revealed he is confident Isak will still be at the club for the start of the 2025/26 season.

Two of Newcastle’s first four matches score only two in the Fixture Difficulty Ratings (FDR), although they do open the campaign with difficult matches against Aston Villa and Liverpool.

Florian Wirtz (MID) £8.5m

The German is priced at £8.5m for his debut season in Fantasy after joining Liverpool from Bayer Leverkusen over the summer.

Wirtz combined 10 goals with 12 assists in the 2024/25 Bundesliga, with a further six goals and an assist in the UEFA Champions League.

Although he remains firmly behind Mohamed Salah as Liverpool’s go-to attacker, Wirtz’s all-round potential can make him a great double-up option alongside the Egyptian when the Reds have a favourable run of opponents.

Rayan Ait-Nouri (DEF) £6.0m

The left-back rises a hefty £1.5m after moving to Manchester City from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Ait-Nouri was the top defender for attacking returns last season, producing 11 thanks to four goals and seven assists.

The switch to Man City will significantly lift his clean-sheet potential, and with Josko Gvardiol now set to play as a centre-back, Ait-Nouri could become their standout pick in defence.

All of City’s opening four matches score three in the FDR, starting with a trip to Ait-Nouri’s former club Wolves.

Jordan Pickford (GKP) £5.5m

Everton’s No 1 earns a rise of £0.5m from last season after finishing as the top-scoring goalkeeper in Fantasy for the second successive season.

Pickford’s prospects of another strong campaign are underlined by the Toffees’ defensive data under David Moyes.

After the Scot returned as manager midway through 2024/25, Everton conceded a league-low 28 big chances, which are situations where the player is expected to score.

None of Everton's first four matches score more than three in the FDR, with a trip to promoted Leeds United in Gameweek 1.
