Premier League stars who could play at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations

Over 50 players, representing 15 countries, are in contention to feature in the biennial tournament, AFCON 2025

The 24 countries competing in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) have been confirmed for the winter tournament, with a number of Premier League players set to be involved.

Taking place in Morocco, the competition will begin on 21 December 2025, with the final scheduled for 18 January 2026.

Which players could feature for their country at AFCON 2025?

When AFCON last took place in the Ivory Coast two years ago, 49 Premier League players featured from 13 countries across the tournament.

Nottingham Forest were without the most players last time around (six) and along with Sunderland, are set to have the same number of absentees once again.

Four-time Champions Ghana failed to qualify for the first time since 2004, meaning there will be no place for Mohammed Kudus and Antoine Semenyo.
