Perry completes Colchester move

Ben Perry had today joined Colchester United for an undisclosed fee, bringing to an end his 11-year association with the Nottingham Forest Academy. The 20-year-old midfielder joined the Academy in 2014, completing his education at the Club before breaking into our B Team, competing in the 2023/24 and 2024/25 Premier League 2 and EFL Trophy campaigns. He spent the second half of last season on loan at League One side Northampton Town, making 17 appearances for the Cobblers. Craig Mulholland said: “We are delighted that another Forest Academy player has achieved a long-term contract in the EFL following their education here at the Club. “Ben has been here since the age of nine and has an attitude which epitomises our Forest values. This attitude will ensure that Ben makes the most of his talents and has a long career in the game.
