Brazil international becomes Nuno Espirito Santo's first acquisition of the summer transfer window

Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of striker Igor Jesus from Brazilian side Botafogo. 

The 24-year-old has signed a four-year deal and will add depth to Forest’s attacking options as Nuno Espirito Santo’s side prepare to return to European competition for the first time in 30 years. 

Igor Jesus arrives at the City Ground following a productive 2024/25 campaign where he netted 17 goals and registering six assists in 59 matches.

He told the club’s official website: "I'm really happy to be part of this new story, especially at a club like Nottingham Forest. 

"I didn't have to think twice about the offer. I embraced the project they sent me and I am delighted to be coming here and hope to do some great work.

"I will do my very best to achieve great results and bring joy to all the Forest family."

Igor Jesus’ career so far

The forward began his career at Coritiba in his native Brazil before joining Shabab Al-Ahli in the UAE Pro League, where he scored 43 goals and provided 20 assists in 88 appearances.

He returned to Brazil in the summer of 2024 and helped Botafogo win the Serie A title as well as the Copa Libertadores. 

A Brazil international, Igor Jesus has been capped four times, scoring once.
