The signing of Jamie Gittens further boosts Chelsea’s attacking options in Fantasy Premier League as they prepare for a busy 2025/26 season.
The left winger arrives on the back of eight goals and four assists for Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga last season.
Considering he fell out of favour after the arrival of new manager Niko Kovac in February, and subsequently started only 23 league matches, such numbers are impressive.
The 20-year-old also helped Dortmund reach the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals, scoring four goals in the competition.
Gittens’ style of play looks perfectly suited to the tactics of Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca.
The Italian likes his wingers to stay high and wide in attack. From there, they are expected to be direct with their dribbling and provide a goal threat.
Crucially, no Bundesliga player attempted more dribbles in 2024/25 than the 171 of Gittens.

Gittens will hope to be a regular starter on the left wing, but will face competition from Chelsea’s many wide options, which include Pedro Neto, Noni Madueke and Estevao Willian.
Nevertheless, should he manage to start strongly, his potential for goals and assists could help Gittens take full advantage of those favourable opening fixtures.
