Arsenal have completed the signing of goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga from Chelsea.
The 30-year-old will wear the No 13 shirt and joins the Gunners on a permanent deal following a season-long loan at AFC Bournemouth, and will add depth to Mikel Arteta's goalkeeping options alongside fellow Spain international David Raya.
“The ambition that is shown in this club, when I talk with Mikel [Arteta] and [Arsenal goalkeeping coach] Inaki [Cana], how much they show me their desire to win… I think we are so close to winning and, hopefully, altogether, we can achieve it,” Kepa said on Arsenal's website.
Kepa's career so far
Kepa moved to Chelsea from Athletic Bilbao in 2018, making 163 appearances and winning four major honours, including the UEFA Champions League and Europa League.
He spent the 2023/24 season on loan at Real Madrid, lifting both LaLiga and the Champions League.
He has 13 caps for Spain since debuting in 2017 and was part of the squad that won the 2023 UEFA Nations League.
