A cost of just £4.5m for new Manchester United centre-back Yoro could ultimately prove strong value as the campaign progresses. However, for the start of 2024/25, it’s wiser to pick more secure assets at the back, with Aston Villa, Crystal Palace and Newcastle offering identically-priced players with kind early schedules.
Savinho (MCI) £6.5m MID
The Brazilian, 20, arrives at Manchester City on the back of nine goals and 10 assists for Girona in LaLiga last season. While his signing adds further competition to the wide roles, it also indicates that Phil Foden (£9.5m) will again occupy a central position for Pep Guardiola’s side in the upcoming campaign.
