German forward to stay for 2024/25 with option to join permanently after signing from Leipzig in January

Tottenham Hotspur have announced that Timo Werner has rejoined the club on a season-long loan from RB Leipzig.

The German forward, 28, arrived at Spurs on loan in January, and will now remain in north London for another 12 months, with the club having an option to make the deal permanent.

Werner made his Premier League debut on 14 January against Manchester United and had an instant impact, assisting a goal for Rodrigo Bentancur in the 2-2 draw at Old Trafford.

Overall, he played 13 times in the Premier League, scoring two goals and providing three assists, before a hamstring injury curtailed his season.
