The Premier League returns from the international break with a Matchweek 9 that is packed with electric matchups.
The weekend begins with the mouthwatering Merseyside derby when Everton make the short trip from Goodison Park to face Liverpool at Anfield.
This fixture has been dominated by Liverpool in recent years, with Jurgen Klopp's Reds losing only once in their last 25 Premier League meetings with Everton (W11 D13).
In-form Liverpool currently sit fourth in the table and three points off the top. After a draw with Brighton & Hove Albion last time out, they will be anxious to record another win against their fiercest rival.
Everton finds themselves near the bottom of the table again, but convincing victories over Brentford and AFC Bournemouth recently suggest they could be a side on the rise, and the Toffees would love nothing more than to steal points from their arch rivals.
There's a top-six matchup at the Etihad Stadium as Manchester City host Brighton on Saturday. The Cityzens started the season looking invincible with six straight wins, but that preceded two consecutive losses to Wolverhampton Wanderers and Arsenal, the first time they have lost back-to-back league matches since December 2018.
Man City have won 10 of their 12 PL meetings against Brighton, so will hope to reverse their fortunes with this fixture. The Seagulls, however, have both scored and conceded in every match this season, and they lead the PL in goals scored. Settle in for what could prove to be a high-flying match between these top sides.
NBC Spotlight
You can find a huge London derby on NBC this Saturday afternoon as Chelsea welcome Arsenal to Stamford Bridge.
In the last three years, Arsenal have controlled this fixture, winning five of their last six league matches against Chelsea.
If the Gunners win for a fourth consecutive time at Stamford Bridge, they would become the first team since Watford (1981 to 1986) to achieve this feat.
After a rough start to the season, the Blues have gathered some momentum with back-to-back victories against Fulham and Burnley. They will face a much greater test against Arsenal, who are tied on points with Spurs at the top of the table and would love to use a road win against a rival to vault to first place outright.
