International matches. Monthly awards. Take a look at what's going on

Though the Premier League has paused for the first international break of the season, there are still plenty of things to look out for until the action resumes next weekend.

Euro 2024 qualifying

European nations will reconvene qualifying for next summer's UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany.

Gareth Southgate's England will be in action this Saturday against Ukraine, with plenty of Premier League players on show in matches taking place from Thursday 7 September through to Tuesday 12 September.

Euro Under-21 2025 qualifying

Fresh from winning this summer's UEFA U21 European Championships, England will begin the defence of their title against Luxembourg on Monday 11 September.

Africa Cup of Nations qualifying

The Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) returns this season with Ivory Coast hosting the tournament in January-February 2024.

The last round of qualifying matches takes place from Wednesday 6 September to Tuesday 12 September. Cameroon and Man Utd goalkeeper Andre Onana is among the PL players in action.

CONCACAF Nations League

Michail Antonio will be representing Jamaica in CONCACAF Nations League with his side facing Honduras on Saturday 9 September and then Haiti on Wednesday 13 September.

Friendly matches

With some European nations only playing one Euro 2024 qualifying match, their second match will be an international friendly.

England face Scotland on Tuesday, while Germany take on France.

Premier League monthly awards

There is still a lot to look forward to in the Premier League over the next two weeks with the return of monthly awards.

Nominees for the EA SPORTS Player of the Month, Barclays Manager of the Month, Budweiser Goal of the month and Castrol Save of the Month will be announced this week, with the winners revealed the following week. 

Next Premier League action

Matchweek 5 of the Premier League resumes on Saturday 16 September with Wolverhampton Wanderers facing Liverpool in the first match of the weekend.
