Man Utd defender in line for move to Hammers while Brentford goalkeeper ready to make capital switch

West Ham United manager David Moyes has confirmed that a bid for Manchester United defender Harry Maguire has been accepted.

Speaking ahead of West Ham's Premier League opener at AFC Bournemouth, Moyes told the club's official website: "We've had a bit accepted from Manchester United, but while he's not our player I'm not in position to discuss him, really."

Maguire, who has featured in Man Utd's pre-season, has made 219 Premier League appearances for the Red Devils, and registered 56 clean sheets. He has also scored 11 goals and provided eight assists.

Moyes also said that an offer by champions Manchester City for his midfielder Lucas Paqueta is "not anywhere near meeting our valuation".

Raya close to Arsenal move

Meanwhile, goalkeeper David Raya's move to Arsenal is set to be finalised by Sunday, according to Brentford head coach Thomas Frank.

"I expect the deal will be completed with Arsenal," Frank said in his pre-match press conference. "He's not here at the moment and won't be involved on Sunday."

The 27-year-old Spaniard will reportedly join the Gunners on loan, where he will provide competition for Aaron Ramsdale.

Raya kept 11 Premier League clean sheets last season, helping the Bees to finish ninth.
