Martin Caceres made his first appearance since joining Southampton last month as several first teamers played out a goalless Division 1 draw with Chelsea at St Mary's Stadium.
Jay Rodriguez, Sofiane Boufal, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Sam McQueen joined Caceres, but they could not beat Blues goalkeeper Bradley Collins.
The draw leaves Southampton one point above the relegation zone with four matches remaining, while Chelsea are in mid-table.

Saints visit Manchester United for their next PL2 match at Old Trafford next Monday, while the Blues play Liverpool at Tranmere on the same night.
