Arsenal v Norwich: Can Canaries end London hoodoo?

Match preview

Arsenal, currently in 10th on 43 points, are aiming for a second successive win that would send them up to seventh.

Norwich City remain at the foot of the table, six points adrift of 17th-placed West Ham United.

Team news

Arsenal's Cedric Soares is available after recovering from a facial injury, while Lucas Torreira is back in full training. He is being assessed, along with Mesut Ozil (back) and David Luiz (knee).

Bernd Leno, Gabriel Martinelli, Calum Chambers (all knee) and Pablo Mari (ankle) are long-term absentees.

Timm Klose is suspended for Norwich after being sent off in Saturday's FA Cup defeat to Manchester United, but Todd Cantwell is fit after shaking off a knock sustained in the same match.

There are slight question marks over Max Aarons (calf), Lukas Rupp (hip) and Adam Idah (thigh), who also picked up knocks in the cup tie.

Did you know?

Arsenal have only lost one of their eight Premier League home matches against Norwich (W5 D2). Their sole defeat came on the very first day of the Premier League back in August 1992, when the Canaries came from behind to win 4-2 at Highbury.

Against Southampton, Arsenal had two English scorers, Eddie Nketiah and Joe Willock, in a Premier League match for the first time since August 2016 against Liverpool.

Norwich are the only Premier League side yet to recover a single point from a losing position this season. No team in Premier League history has ever failed to do as such across a full campaign.

The Canaries have not won any of their last 21 matches in London since beating Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 in April 2012 and have lost their last seven contests in the capital.
