Dejan Lovren and Marko Grujic saw how Liverpool FC Foundation inspires young people with disabilities when they visited a Respect 4 All session at Anfield Sports Community Centre.
The Liverpool pair joined with the coaching and presented participants with signed LFC scarves as they supported the initiative, which offers free impairment-specific coaching to young people and adults with complex additional needs.
"To be able to give something back to the community is extremely important and it is an honour that we are in a position to be involved with LFC Foundation events such as this," Lovren said.
The programme is delivered in two centres and provides opportunities to play football for those who are visually impaired, physically disabled, have severe learning difficulties or are wheelchair users.
"Respect 4 All is a brilliant programme which gives those who haven't previousy been involved in sport an opportunity to participate which is really satisfying," said project lead Ryan Moignard.
"I am thrilled that we have been able to get two of the first-team players down as the participants were absolutely delighted to see Marko and Dejan."
