The Mercedes-Benz Stadium is the newest of the Premier League Summer Series venues and is a multi-purpose stadium, built as a replacement for the Georgia Dome.

The stadium's signature feature is its impressive retractable roof, which opens and closes in a circular rotation. While the lower bowl seats are also retractable in case the capacity needs to be configured.

Soccer History
Brentford and Brighton & Hove Albion will be the first Premier League clubs to play at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Atlanta United FC had home field advantage in the 2018 MLS Cup final and the Atlanta side defeated Portland Timbers 2-0 to earn their first-ever MLS championship.

As winners of the MLS Cup, they got to host Mexican side Club América in the 2019 Campeones Cup - an annual match played between the MLS Cup winners and the Liga MX Cup champions. Atlanta won 3-2.

Mercedes-Benz Stadium is a host venue for the 2026 FIFA Men's World Cup.

Notable Events
Mercedes-Benz Stadium hosted Super Bowl LIII (53) in 2019, the first time Atlanta hosted the American football finale since 2000.

Multiple college football finales have been held at the multi-purpose stadium, which has also seen a round of the AMA Supercross Championships, an American motorcycle racing series.

American country music singer Garth Brooks was the first musician to play at the venue in October 2017. Since then, Kenny Chesney, Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Ed Sheeran, George Straight, Coldplay, The Weeknd and Sir Elton John have performed at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
