West Bromwich Albion have abandoned their interest in signing midfielder Eric Djemba-Djemba.
Albion manager Roberto Di Matteo was hopeful of landing the Cameroon international after holding talks with the player this week.
Former Manchester United and Aston Villa player Djemba-Djemba, who is currently with BK Odense, watched Albion in action in Tuesday night's friendly at Doncaster Rovers.

But the club has released a statement confirming: "West Brom have decided not to pursue their interest in Odense midfielder Eric Djemba-Djemba."
It continued: "He travelled to England to meet the club earlier this week.
"But, following medical tests and further talks between the clubs, Albion have decided not to proceed with a deal."
In four seasons at Villa Park and Old Trafford, Djemba-Djemba made a total of 31 top-flight appearances.
