Tottenham Hotspur striker Peter Crouch has warned supporters not to get ahead of themselves.
Spurs face an FA Cup quarter-final replay against Fulham on 24th March and if they win that, only relegation threatened Portsmouth would stand in their way of a first appearance in the final since 1991 when they beat Nottingham Forest 2-1.
With optimism increasing among fans, Crouch has warned against a culture of complacency, stressing that the team cannot look beyond the Fulham match.
far ahead
"It's easy to say it's all mapped up for us but the first hurdle is Fulham and all we must think about for now is getting the right result in the replay next week," he told the club's official website.
"We knew it was going to be tough on Saturday and to be honest, we'd have taken the result (the 0-0 draw) before the game.
"We're more than happy to get them back to White Hart Lane where we have beaten them already this season and we have to be confident.
"These are exciting times and if we can get past Fulham we've got a semi-final against Portsmouth to look forward to at Wembley with the chance of reaching the final.
"But as I said, we can't look further than Fulham, we don't want to look too far ahead."
Crouch was on target when the teams met at White Hart Lane in the Barclays Premier League in January. The lanky striker put his side ahead on 27 minutes and David Bentley completed a 2-0 win on the hour.
