Spain star Torres has been presented with a Barclays Golden Boot '10-goal' Landmark Award after becoming the first player in the Barclays Premier League to hit double figures in the 2009/10 season.

Despite a recent injury setback, Torres has been in scintillating form in the opening months of the 2009/10 season and netted his first goal in the 4-0 victory over Stoke City at Anfield.

Torres will now receive £10,000 to donate to a charity of his choice.

Once he regains full fitness, Torres stands a good chance of winning the Barclays Golden Boot Award at the end of the season, and currently sits second only to Tottenham Hotspur striker Jermain Defoe who tops the scorers charts with 11, after scoring five times against Wigan Athletic on Sunday.
