The East Lancashire clubs meet in the top flight for the first time since 1966 at Ewood Park on Sunday and Blake has joked that the match is probably bigger than last year's play-off final at Wembley for fans.

Supporters are still awaiting the team's first away win in the Barclays Premier League but would like nothing more than to see it secured at Blackburn.

supporters chant

Blake said: "It's the first thing the supporters chant, so it has registered with the lads how big this game is.

"There will be no better start than Ewood Park to get your first three points away from home.

"It will be better than winning the play-off final, won't it?

"I'm sure the fans will banish the memories of all the four games we've had away from home so far with that one."
