Sinclair scored with three minutes to go against Hull City on Saturday but it was not enough to force a comeback as the Latics went down 2-1 at the KC Stadium.

being patient

The on-loan Chelsea forward told the club's official website: "I'm delighted to get my first goal in the Premier League and hopefully it can kick-start me to get a few more.

"But I am also disappointed that it wasn't enough to get us a point.

"It's frustrating for any player to be sitting on the bench, waiting to get on, but you can only keep working hard in training and giving 100 per cent and be ready to take your chance when it comes.

"It's all about being patient and hopefully my time will come. I've scored my first goal and hopefully I can kick on from there."
