The 20-year-old has signed a four year contract at Ewood Park, following his move from Amiens SC for an undisclosed fee.

N'Zonzi only made his professional debut in April 2008 but last season played 35 times as his club side were relegated from Ligue 2.

"It is a big move for me and I am really pleased to have done it with Blackburn," he said.

"It is true it will be a big difference as I am used to playing in the championship in France but I am young and I am here to learn.

"I really want to do the best to improve my game, training every day with experienced players and give my best for the new challenge.

"It is a big challenge and I want to succeed. I am sure the coach and the staff will help me to become a good player."
