The Colombia international arrived at the club in January as they looked to fill the void left by Emile Heskey's departure to Aston Villa.

With Mido and Amr Zaki's loan deals having expired and Henri Camara released, Martinez will be looking to strengthen his attack ahead of the new season, but believes Rodallega has plenty to offer.

"Hugo is a very, very good prospect, but the best is yet to come once he feels fully part of the Premier League and part of the British way of life," Martinez said.

"Hugo has a bit of everything - he is very talented, he has very quick feet, he can go both ways and he is a great finisher.

"There are many doubts in your head as a foreign player when you move to a new league, but that will not be a factor for him any more."

Rodallega joined the club in January from Mexican outfit Necaxa where he had scored 25 goals in 53 appearances.

He has so far made nine Barclays Premier League starts for Wigan with six appearances as substitute, scoring three goals.
