A review of the news from around the grounds of each Barclays Premier League club.
Arsenal
Emmanuel Eboue says he knows nothing about a move to Paris St Germain after being linked with the Ligue 1 outfit. "I'm not aware of any contact with PSG. They are a good team, however, I have a contract with Arsenal," he said. "My ambition is to stay and play but because of a lack of first-team play, I'm not happy. I want to play."
Aston Villa
Courtney Cameron, aged 16, has joined Aston Villa from Northampton Town for an undisclosed fee. Cobblers head of youth Geoff Harrop said: "He is an attacking player, very athletic and has an excellent attitude. He has worked hard, listened well and is proof that local players are in good hands here. We wish Courtney well in his future career."

Promising defender Jared Wilson has signed a new one-year contract with the midlands club. The 20-year-old full-back has put pen to paper on a deal that will keep him at St Andrew's until the summer of 2010. Wilson, a product of City's Academy, made his debut for the club as a substitute against Queens Park Rangers in a Championship encounter in October. He spent the second half of the campaign on loan at League Two outfit Chesterfield to gain regular first-team experience. He said: "My whole aim last year after I played the match (against QPR) was to go out and get some first-team experience so I went out to Chesterfield to get that. I think the contract is a bit of a reward for doing well in the youth team and whilst I have been away on loan. It shows the manager (Alex McLeish) thinks a lot of me which is good for me."
Blackburn Rovers
Brett Emerton is confident about his side's chances next season. Blackburn Rovers avoided relegation after Sam Allardyce replaced Paul Ince and steadied the ship. Emerton believes the improvement will continue: "I am sure the squad will be full of confidence at the way we finished the season, it was European form, and with players coming back and a few new signings it will be like a new start."

Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins says there has been no offer from Bolton Wanderers for Ferrie Bodde. The Trotters have held a long-standing interest in Bodde and reports claimed a £1.5m bid had been made for the midfielder. But Jenkins said: "I'm fully aware of speculation about Ferrie Bodde, but there has been no official offer."
burnley
Burnley have confirmed the schedule for their USA pre-season tour. Owen Coyle's side will play two matches in the United States on the following dates: VC Fusion at Buena High School, Ventura, Tuesday, 21st July and Portland Timbers at PGE Park, Oregon, Saturday, 25th July.
Chelsea
Chelsea's new away kit is now available for pre-order through the Stadium Megastore and Online Megastore. The new adidas kit, which will be worn for the first time when Chelsea face AC Milan on 24th July during the pre-season tour, has incorporated the highest sporting technology and design standards into the shirt. The away kit for 2009/10 uses a tonal hoop in dark navy and new navy with a neon yellow highlight for the adidas three stripes, tipping on the collar and sleeves, giving a structured, stylish finish to the shirt.
Everton
England Under-21 star Jack Rodwell hopes to eventually emulate Rio Ferdinand. Rodwell played in a defensive midfield role for England Under-21s against Germany on Monday but has been tipped to drop back into defence, just as Ferdinand did at West Ham United at the start of his career. "I have heard the comparisons," Rodwell said. "It's brilliant to be compared with such a player as Rio Ferdinand. I try to base it on my own game. I do like to play out from the back, so that's probably why they have played me in midfield because I am comfortable on the ball. I have started to play in midfield and I believe that Rio did the same when he was younger and then moved back to centre-half. I am not sure what will happen with me but I look up to him."
Fulham
Clint Dempsey hopes new signings over the summer can help Fulham improve on last year's highest-ever position of seventh. "You always want to keep moving in positive directions but a lot of things can happen over the summer," Dempsey said. "Other teams will try to strengthen their line-ups, so we will have to concentrate on the things we were doing right and maybe add a little depth to our squad. It would be great if we could finish in a similar position and maybe move on."
Hull City
Manager Phil Brown has been fined £2,500 for improper conduct relating to comments made about Mike Riley after the Tigers' FA Cup defeat at Arsenal in March. Brown had denied the charge but it was found proven at a Football Association regulatory commission hearing, and he was also warned about his future conduct.
Liverpool
Liverpool have appointed Christian Purslow as managing director with the brief of taking overall management of the club until a new chief executive is in place. Purslow will represent owners George Gillett and Tom Hicks and liaise with manager Rafael Benitez on his summer transfer dealings. Gillett told the club's official website: "Tom and I felt it was important to put a highly experienced and respected executive in place to run the club and support the senior team and the manager. There's a lot to get done over the summer to build on the great season we just had and Christian will be a valuable addition to the team. Christian has been a great supporter of the club for many years and he's already built up good relationships at Anfield. His strategic and commercial acumen will be a real asset and we're delighted he has made a long-term commitment to the club."

Carlos Tevez is considering offers from Manchester City, Chelsea and one other club, according to the player's adviser Kia Joorabchian. After Tevez decided not to renew his contract with Manchester United, Joorabchian commented the Argentinian's future will be defined in "about 10 days" and hinted City were in pole position to sign the player. Joorabchian said: "Right now we are evaluating the proposals from Manchester City, Chelsea and one other team. In the next two weeks, Carlos, Adrian (Rouco, Tevez's agent) and I will meet to sort this out. City is a club with most of the chances because they are building a big squad, but it is not a decisive point. The contract with United officially runs to until 31st June and we'll respect that. After 1st July, we'll see. We may be defined in 10 days."
Manchester United
Wigan Athletic chairman Dave Whelan says winger Antonio Valencia will have the final say on where his future lies. Manchester United and Real Madrid are believed to be the two frontrunners to land the Ecuador international this summer. Whelan is now set to meet with Valencia on his return from holiday, with a decision on where the winger will play his football next season on the horizon. He said: "We are just waiting for him to come back from holiday. We have had offers that are acceptable to Wigan Athletic, around the £14-£18m mark, but what we will finish up with I don't know. It's no use me saying he is going to Manchester United because he is the boss and we'll be listening to what he says. We can't tell him where he wants to go. If he wants to go, we've always promised him he can go. But if he wants to stay then he will stay."
Portsmouth
Portsmouth executive chairman Peter Storrie has denied the club are in talks to appoint Ivory Coast coach Vahid Halilhodzic as their new manager. The Bosnian had claimed he is negotiating with Pompey over the possibility of taking over at Fratton Park, but Storrie vehemently denies that is the case. Ivory Coast officials expect Halilhodzic to step down from his post as national team chief next week before he takes over at the Barclays Premier League club. Prospective new Pompey owner Sulaiman Al Fahim is almost certain to name a new manager when he finally takes over the club next month but Storrie is adamant that he is yet to begin a search for a new manager. "It's complete and utter rubbish. There's nothing in it at all," he said. "We've had no discussions or meetings whatsoever."
stoke city
Stoke City manager Tony Pulis is looking forward to the club's tour of Austria in July when the Potters travel to the state of Styria on 15th July to play two matches over the week. Pulis said: "It's a lovely country because it's so quiet, I really like Austria and we're all really looking forward to it. The games we have over there are usually pretty competitive as well. We take the lads into the countryside and they concentrate solely on their fitness levels. It's a bit above sea level too, so they all have to work a little bit harder."
sunderland
Sunderland chairman Niall Quinn and Sunderland City Council leader Councillor Paul Watson have urged the North East to get behind Sunderland's bid to become a host city for the 2018 World Cup. Quinn said: "I've experienced first-hand the huge excitement a World Cup generates and it would be absolutely fantastic to see the Stadium of Light and the North East play a big part in such an international sporting phenomenon. In the Stadium of Light and the Academy of Light in particular, we have some of the best sporting stadia and training facilities in England, if not the world and I know that we've got what it takes to be a host city. But that's just part of the story - we also have fantastic facilities across County Durham, Northumberland, South Tyneside, Tees Valley and Tyneside and we want to create a bid that brings them altogether to showcase this region to a world-wide audience." By logging on to www.sunderland2018bid.com, and selecting 'Sunderland' as preferred host city, members of the public can show The FA that they want Sunderland to host matches in the World Cup in 2018.

Ian Broomfield has been announced as Tottenham Hotspur's new chief scout. Born in Bristol, Broomfield began scouting part-time with Southampton and then Leeds United. The 58-year-old was appointed chief scout at Leeds United in 1998 before joining Aston Villa in a similar capacity five years later. In 2006, Broomfield left Villa Park to join Harry Redknapp at Portsmouth where he served as chief scout for two-and-a-half years. Broomfield started his playing career as a striker with Bristol City and was selected to train with the England youth squad before going on to play for Stockport County as well as competing in the top-flight in South Africa.
West Ham United
Youth team captain Matt Fry has given his father Ron the perfect birthday present by signing his first professional contract with the club. Fry, who turns 19 in September, enjoyed a superb 2008/09 campaign progressing to become a regular in the reserve team. A lifelong West Ham fan who has been at the club since the age of 11, Fry has overcome a serious injury to become one of the club's most promising young players. The versatile, committed defender, who is equally comfortable at both centre-back and left-back, was wearing a broad grin as he put pen to paper in the trophy room at the Boleyn Ground. Fry said: "It's obviously brilliant to have signed the deal, especially being a West Ham fan as well. My Dad Ron is a West Ham supporter as well, so he'll never forget this day either. I've been here since I was 11 years of age so without him I wouldn't have got to where I have today. I live about 40 minutes away in Gravesend and he brought me in every day, making it possible for me to get where I am. My whole family, especially my Mum Lesley, brother Will and sister Tasha, have all been very supportive of me."
Wigan Athletic
New manager Roberto Martinez has gone back to Swansea City for another member of his old backroom team. Physio Richie Evans was expected to remain at the Liberty Stadium after spending the last 10 years in south Wales. However, Evans has decided to link up with Martinez once more, following the paths of Graeme Jones and Kevin Reeves, who have already made the move north.

Chairman Steve Morgan has one major disappointment with Wolves' fixture list in the Barclays Premier League - Liverpool away is on Boxing Day. As a lifelong associate of Liverpool and former shareholder at the club a return to Anfield was always going to carry plenty of significance for the Wolves owner. And that means he's had to cancel a planned holiday to ensure he is at the fixture! He said: "It was the one match I was looking forward to most of all and I'm slightly disappointed it's on Boxing Day because I was scheduled to go away for a few days over Christmas. That's gone by the wayside now and we'll be staying here for the match which I'm really looking forward to, just like going to Old Trafford or the Emirates and other places."
