The Whites under manager Roy Hodgson claimed a highest-ever league finish of seventh place to qualify for next season's newly-formed Europa League.

Johnson, who scored 10 goals last term, had big European football nights with former club Everton and cannot wait to experience more of the same with Fulham.

"I played in Europe with Everton for a couple of years and it was a great experience," he said. "The away trips are always special for the fans.

"Players have ambitions, we all want to play in European competition and anyone who says they don't want to get into Europe is simply not ambitious. We're all looking forward to it.

"We don't get ahead of ourselves and we're not expecting too much next season - because that's exactly how we approached things last season. We'll do well if we keep playing the way we did last season."
