But Vidic said: "I am very happy here and next season we will start again. I have got no desire to go anywhere."

He added: "People forget that when you join a new league you don't just have to adjust to the country, you also have to adjust to the style of football.

"I feel my game is well adjusted to England now and I want to play a part in a successful team next season. United can make it a record four titles in a row next year."

The Serbian defender has been a key figure for United since signing from Spartak Moscow for £7m in Janaury 2006.

He has scored eight goals in 99 Barclays Premier League starts and was ever-present for United during the league record run of 14 consecutive clean sheets last season.

He was short-listed for the PFA Player of the Year award and won both the fan's and players' Player of the Year trophies at Old Trafford.
