Harry Redknapp has hailed "fantastic" Heurelho Gomes for the Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper's recovery in form.
The Brazilian made a series of mistakes in the first few months of the campaign and was widely expected to be replaced, with Carlo Cudicini arriving from Chelsea.
However, the 28-year-old produced a string of consistent displays as Spurs moved up the table.
great character
"Gomes has been fantastic considering the start he had and the bad time he went through," Redknapp said.
"He has shown great character to come back from where he was."
The former PSV Eindhoven man signed for the White Hart Lane side in June 2008 for a fee of £7.8m.
