West Bromwich Albion kept alive their hopes of avoiding relegation from the Barclays Premier League.
Albion could have been relegated if they had lost this match but two goals from Marc-Antoine Fortune and one from Chris Brunt put them level on points with Newcastle United and Middlesbrough.
Hugo Rodallega's deflected free-kick quickly cancelled out Fortune's early opener before Brunt forced home the rebound after his 59th-minute penalty had been saved.
Fortune wrapped up the victory 17 minutes from time to keep alive hopes of another unlikely Great Escape.
