Arsenal

Arsenal Andrei Arshavin has vowed to help Arsenal end their trophy drought after he completed his "dream" move to the Gunners. Arsenal confirmed on Tuesday that the Russian playmaker had signed for the Barclays Premier League side on a "long-term" contract. The London club agreed a deal for the player with his former club, Zenit St Petersburg, just minutes before Monday's 5pm transfer deadline and had to wait for the move to be ratified by the Premier League. Arsenal have not won a major competition since they triumphed over Manchester United in the FA Cup final in 2005, one year after they went unbeaten to claim the Premier League title. However, Arshavin is adamant that he has joined one of the best clubs in the world and is sure he can help add silverware to the Gunners` trophy cabinet. He said: "I am so happy to be joining Arsenal. They are one of the leading football clubs in the world, with a group of fantastic young players and a great manager. I am looking forward to making the Arsenal supporters happy and helping this great club win trophies. I'm happy to be an Arsenal player, it was my dream."

Aston Villa

Aston Villa Aston Villa midfielder James Milner has been named in the England Under-21 squad for next Tuesday's friendly against Ecuador in Malaga. Milner, the England record holder for caps at Under-21 level, was one of the players Fabio Capello has been looking at and was tipped for a call-up to the full squad. The 23-year-old could still get the nod for the seniors' friendly the following day against Spain if there are injuries, but for now he is part of the Under-21 squad.

Blackburn Rovers

Blackburn Rovers El Hadji Diouf believes the Blackburn fans who once regarded him as their chief hate figure in football will soon grow to love him. The Senegal striker, who has been reunited with ex-Bolton manager Sam Allardyce at Blackburn following his £2m move from Sunderland, admits he is a "bad loser". The 28-year-old said: "I remember before I went to Bolton (from Liverpool) the fans there said a lot of bad things about me but if you go back to Bolton today everyone there loves me. I just need to believe in myself, play my best football and the Blackburn fans' opinion can turn around. I know my character is very strong, but I don't think having a big character is a bad thing. Everything I do in my life I do 100 per cent. It's a good thing to be a bad loser, when I was younger I used to cry if I lost a football match. Now I'm bigger I can't cry any more but I can still feel bad."

Bolton Wanderers

Bolton Wanderers The club have been struck with the curse of conceding late goals in recent weeks and Gary Cahill was delighted to see a welcome change in fortune in the 3-2 win over Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend. Kevin Davies stooped to head Bolton to victory over Harry Redknapp's Spurs with only three minutes remaining on the clock. Cahill said: "If I'm honest, since I have been here then it has probably gone the other way around. I said to the lads that it was probably one of the first times that we have got the late goal, which is pleasing and shows that we go right until the end and that we never give up. But we definitely deserved the win and there were a lot of good performances out there."

Chelsea

Chelsea Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has revealed the club missed out on the signing of Inter Milan forward Ricardo Quaresma. Portugal international Quaresma was strongly linked with a move to Spurs during the transfer window, with the winger unsettled at the San Siro. And Redknapp has confirmed he held talks with Inter coach Jose Mourinho, but ultimately lost out to Chelsea, who secured the 25-year-old on deadline day on loan until the end of the season. He said: "I spoke to Jose Mourinho on Sunday night for half-an-hour, had a great conversation with him on the phone. He was helpful as usual, and he said, 'Yes Harry, you can have him, no problem'. But then Chelsea came in out of the blue, so it was difficult. He is an exciting player and I am sure Chelsea have a good loan player."

Everton

Everton Everton missed out on a deal to sign Germany international Kevin Kuranyi on transfer deadline day. Agent Barry Silkman was trying to broker a loan deal for the Schalke forward after Kuranyi fell out of favour at the club. However, Schalke pulled the plug on the deal for Kuranyi at the last minute. "It started off as a permanent deal then it moved in to a loan deal and then eventually the club in Germany would not let the player come on loan," said Silkman.

Fulham

Fulham Due to the volume of matches on sale for existing Fulham fixtures, the Club will be delaying the on sale date for its home fixture against Manchester United on Saturday 21st March, until 9am on Tuesday 10th February. The club wishes to ensure fans have the best opportunity to purchase tickets for this high profile match and with seven other fixtures currently on sale, believe that this brief delay will provide the most effective solution. (Please check fulhamfc.com for full on sale dates.) Please be aware that it is anticipated that telephone lines will be exceptionally busy. However, to select your seat and save money on booking fees you can book on line. It is recommended you register your account and book online.

Hull City

Hull City Phil Brown believes the reason why the club failed in their bid to lure Roma defender Christian Panucci was due to financial issues. The Tigers manager has revealed he did not want to jeopardise the club's stability just to bring in a quick short-term fix. Brown also blamed the fact that there were too many agents involved in the deal, therefore increasing the amount of money needed in order to bring the Italian in. The 35-year-old, who can play at full-back or centre-half, arrived in Hull on Sunday and agreed personal terms and passed a medical but both clubs could not agree on a fee. "It was difficult because in the end it was about finances so it would have been done for the wrong reasons," Brown said. "We were ready to push the boat out to make the deal happen, but as far as we were concerned there were too many agents involved feeding for the scraps."

Liverpool

Liverpool Rafael Benitez has a near fully-fit squad to choose from as the Reds look to defend a 16-match unbeaten run in their FA Cup fourth round replay at Everton. Apart from defender Phillipp Degen, who has made only two appearances this season and is now out for several weeks with a broken metatarsal, Liverpool do not have any injury problems.

manchester city

Manchester City Reserve defender Clayton McDonald has joined Chesterfield on a one-month emergency loan deal. The 20-year-old is now eligible to go straight into the Spireites' squad for Saturday's home league match with Lincoln City. McDonald spent time on loan with Macclesfield Town back in September, but has now opted to join the Spireites.

MANCHESTER UNITED

Manchester United Manchester United's Champions League match against Inter Milan at the 80,000-capacity San Siro on 24th February is a sell-out. The Italian club have confirmed they sold the remaining tickets for the first leg of the last 16 match against the defending champions within two hours. Inter also announced the tickets allocated to them from Manchester United for the return leg at Old Trafford on 11th March had been sold. Meanwhile, striker Febian Brandy - who turns 20 on Wednesday - has moved to League One strugglers Hereford United on an initial one-month loan deal.

middlesbrough

Middlesbrough Brad Jones is determined to keep his place in goal after replacing Ross Turnbull against Blackburn and producing a man-of-the-match performance. He said: "Obviously we both want to play but there is only one position. He had a run and he's done very well indeed, he hasn't done himself any harm whatsoever. Now I'm determined to keep myself there. What I don't want is another injury, so touch wood I'll be alright now."

Newcastle United

Newcastle United Kevin Nolan admits he was stunned to hear Bolton were willing to sell him to Newcastle United but is looking forward to an exciting career at St James' Park. Nolan joined the Magpies in a deal worth £4m but the midfielder, who was Wanderers captain until he moved north, was surprised their interest was not rebuffed. He said: "(My agent) told me Newcastle were on and did I fancy it? I asked him what the club had said about it and he said they were negotiating. It was a bit of a shock. There had been rumours in the past but they were always quashed, so I must admit I was disappointed that the club were prepared to sell me. I saw myself being at Bolton for many more years, but I've had time to think about it and it might be something I needed and something Bolton needed. It's a very sad time for me in many ways because I've left Bolton after so many years but I'm delighted with the move and excited about starting another chapter. It's a step up and has much more to offer. Newcastle is massively supported and, if they can get things right in the next couple of years, they can definitely be back up there challenging the top four. The potential and the quality of the squad is incredible."

Portsmouth

Portsmouth Tony Adams has compared new loan signing Theofanis Gekas to the great Gary Lineker. "I'd have to say Theofanis is very similar to Gary Lineker," Adams said of Gekas, who joined from Bayer Leverkusen on Sunday. "He stands on the last defender and likes to get in behind defences. He may get caught offside 20 or 30 times but he causes defenders all sorts of problems. He's not going to do anything outside the box. He wants to get inside the box and score goals, but he works hard to do that."

stoke city

Stoke City Midfielder Demar Phillips has joined Norwegian side Alesund on a free transfer. The Jamaican international joined the Potters in August 2007 but has struggled to make an impact, making just four first-team appearances. Phillips, 25, has signed a three-year contract with his new club.

sunderland

Sunderland Goalkeeper Craig Gordon cannot wait to feel the adrenaline rush of first-team football again when he walks out at Ewood Park. Scotland's number one has been sidelined for the last two months with an ankle problem after suffering a recurrence of the injury in Sunderland's 4-1 defeat at home to Bolton in November. A frustrated Gordon is set to return for the Black Cats in their FA Cup fourth round replay at Blackburn, with a home match against Coventry City in the fifth round at stake. "It's been a while so I'm looking forward to getting back into action and hopefully have a good game," said Gordon. "It's always good to know that you're going to be playing in the next game, and it's been a while for me, so I'm sure I'll be getting that adrenaline burst and excitement going in to the game. I've been training for about two weeks now and I had been hoping to get a reserve match or a friendly game under my belt first. That didn't work out, but I'm still ready to start playing competitive games. It's a chance for me to get back in and do my job, then it's up to the manager to decide, but I just need to do as well as I can."

tottenham hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur Harry Redknapp has given his backing for striker Darren Bent, who was the subject of interest from various Barclays Premier League clubs before the transfer window closed. He said: "I didn't want to let Darren go. He came on on Saturday (against Bolton) and got two goals, and he's scored goals all season. He is a terrific player. He is a big part of what we are looking to achieve here. I think he will be a major player between now and the end of the season."

West Bromwich Albion

West Bromwich Albion Tony Mowbray praised Burnley after they defeated his side 3-1 in Tuesday's FA Cup fourth round replay at Turf Moor. "Let's give Burnley credit. They worked extremely hard, they got the goals and obviously we missed a few chances," he said. "We started to control the game and then found ourselves 1-0 down to a great strike. The strikers of Burnley showed great desire and quality around the final third, which was probably the difference. We lacked the clinical touch and those problems have been around us all season."

West Ham United

West Ham United Czech Republic international Radoslav Kovac has admitted that manager Gianfranco Zola's presence at West Ham United played a big part in persuading him to join the club. Kovac has joined the Hammers on loan until the end season from Spartak Moscow but revealed there were other offers on the table when he decided to link up with Zola's side. "There was interest from other big clubs but when West Ham showed their interest, it felt like the right move for me and a chance to come and play in the Premier League," he told the club's official website. "Of course I know a lot about the manager and also the player he was. He says it is a fantastic opportunity for me to come and play under him and I am very excited about this. I am delighted to be here. West Ham is a beautiful club and I am happy that I have signed and can't wait to play."

Wigan Athletic

Wigan Athletic Goalkeeper Chris Kirkland is thrilled he no longer has to come up against Charles N'Zogbia after the midfielder joined the Latics from Newcastle on Monday. "He'll bring a lot of pace. I've played against him a couple of times and he's always caused us problems," Kirkland said. "He's going to have to work hard to get in the team because the lads that have played this season have done great and no one is guaranteed a spot. We've just got to keep going. There's 14 games left so we've got to make sure we take each game as it comes and try to keep picking up points."
