Elano introduced Brazilian flavours to the children of Manchester at the Pau Brasil restaurant.
The Manchester City star met the youngsters in the Northern Quarter on Monday 27th October.
City in the Community's (CITC) Getting Manchester Moving initiative teamed up with the Premier League's Creating Chances to host the event, which will help promote healthy eating to children.
Elano said: "As a footballer I am happy to be attending the event to promote healthy eating with children."
"It is important to have a healthy diet from an early age - it will help towards achieving the highest level of fitness."

The Food for Fitness course is funded by the Football Foundation and aimed at 7-11 year olds, with activities ranging from label reading; fat and sugar content in a number of snack products; fun interactive healthy eating games such as a treasure hunt.
The programme also provides the opportunity for children to sample some different exercises such as cheerleading, boxing and salsa.
Young people, selected from local primary schools, attended the event and got the opportunity to make some fresh Brazilian fruit smoothies with Elano. The children then took part in a question and answer session with the player, where they found out about a footballer's diet.
Getting Manchester Moving is a citywide initiative designed to raise awareness about the importance of physical activity, its benefits and where these activities can be accessed as well as about healthy eating and weight management.
The project is funded by the Football Foundation and supported by CITC, Manchester City Council and Manchester Public Health Development Service. The campaign has pulled together, under one banner, information about a range of health provisions from across the city - making it simple and easy for people to access.
The Football Foundation is the UK's largest sports charity funded by the Premier League, The Football Association, Sport England and the Government. Their mission is to improve facilities, create opportunities and build communities throughout England.
