The Blues full-backs were visiting the Heatwaves Leisure Centre in Liverpool to join in an Everton in the Community event with local youngsters as part of the Premier League 'Creating Chances' campaign.

The Kickz project enables disadvantaged boys to take part in organised football coaching sessions and tournaments and Hibbert thoroughly enjoyed taking part.

"I think I should have brought my shin-pads," he grinned, after playing a few 7-a-side games at the centre.

"It's great that the kids have got somewhere like this to play football and I think anything that keeps them occupied and off the streets is most worthwhile. Coming here today takes me back to when I was a kid!"
