Agbonlahor scored the second goal in a man-of-the-match display as England swept aside Portugal 2-0 to reach the play-offs for next year's European Championship.

The Aston Villa striker's pace and work-rate troubled the Portuguese defence throughout and Hart believes his first cap is only a matter of time.

"We have Gabby up there doing as much as he possibly can and that makes it easier for everyone else," the England Under-21 goalkeeper said.

"The senior team could do with him. They have a handful of good strikers and Gabby is knocking on that door. He is a bullet."

Hart is happy being a part of the under-21 squad as he basks in the glory of their easy qualification for the play-offs as convincing Group Three winners.

The Manchester City stopper is on the fringes on the full England team himself after winning his only cap against Trinidad & Tobago in June.

"I'm not annoyed about not being with the seniors, it doesn't bother me," he said.

"As long as I'm in an England shirt I don't mind. It's nice to be playing and it is what I want to be doing.

"It feels good to win. We went to Wembley to do a job. Obviously it is even nicer to do it at Wembley but we won and topped the group."
