Bolton Wanderers have signed Polish striker Ebi Smolarek until the end of the season.
The versatile 27-year-old, who was part of Poland's Euro 2008 squad, joined Racing in 2007 having previously played for Feyenoord and Borussia Dortmund.
A statement on the Spanish club's website read: "Racing and Bolton have reached an agreement for the loan of Ebi Smolarek to the British team until June 30, 2009.

"As well as that, the English outfit have an option to buy the Polish striker."
Smolarek, who is the son of former Poland player Wlodzimierz Smolarek, has been named Polish Player of the Year a record three times having been awarded the mantle in 2005, 2006 and 2007.
He scored nine goals during Poland's European Championship qualifying campaign but failed to find the target during his country's first-ever finals appearance.
