The 27-year-old captained the Dons to both the League Two title and the Johnstone's Paint Trophy last season under Rovers manager Paul Ince and will be reunited at Ewood Park.

Andrews was named the League Two player of the season last year and scored 21 goals in 87 appearances for the club and could make his debut at West Ham United on Saturday.

"Blackburn being a massive club and a Premier League club was a chance I couldn't let go," said the 27-year-old, who signed a three-year deal.

"I did everything in my power to get here, I was pleading with the chairman at MK Dons to get the deal done."

He added: "Coming here is a fantastic opportunity for me and it is one I am really relishing and I hope to take with both hands.

"I'm under no illusions - it is going to be a very hard test for me to get in the team, but it is one I am relishing and very much looking forward to."
